Maybe you are familiar with the Canadian poet / musician Leonard Cohen. His “Bird on a Wire” He penned a regretful tale of a man trying “in his way to be free.”
Josephine Jones made her light and wearable Bird on a Wire necklace using Art Mechanique mica, eyelets, and a recycled bird image.
She made the chain with steel wire that she hammered and soldered.
She added the wire wrapped fiber bead and then, extended tail with a dove feather she found in her yard.
“Turning discards into divine, now this bird can live on!” she says.

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing some research on that. And he just bought me lunch as I found it for him smile Thus let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! “Any man would be forsworn to gain a kingdom.”
