First I prepared the dress silhouette by putting on the Iced Enamels medium and using the Iced Enamels™ Pewter Relique Powder to add a layer of texture to the dress blank.
Next, I add a tiny piece of fabric to the bottom of the dress blank and then a piece of old trip from a lamp, cut down to fit the dress. Laying this all very flat I mixed ICE Resin® and carefully poured it on the the dress to seal in the iced enamel, fabric and piece of metal trim.
This dried for about 24 hours.
The head from an old broken doll was attached to the top of the dress from using wire. I then threaded more wire through the holes drilled for the arms, covered that wire with old ribbon and viola…Little Kate.
I enjoyed making this so much.. I intend to make more when I have some more tiny doll heads!
